A new, international, computer-based academic English language assessment, the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic), was launched this year. Testing non-native speakers of English who wish to study at universities using English as the primary language of instruction accurately assesses their listening, reading, speaking, and writing abilities. Several governments and the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) endorse PTE Academic in order to help students earn their graduate degrees.
