For NEET exam, 11th and 12th syllabus from NCERT is sufficient to get a qualifying rank. NEET examination is not that tough. Students need not go beyond the syllabus prescribed by NCERT or CBSE board. Most of the questions/ concepts asked are based on the syllabus of NCERT textbooks only and if we observe the past papers specially biology, one or two questions are coming from out of the NCERT syllabus. For example, last year one question was given on cornea. Earlier, in Zoology one question was about the conference that was held. So some GK questions related to medicine are being asked sometimes but only one or two questions. So in biology, out of the 90 questions, 88-89 questions are from within the syllabus only which is prescribed in NCERT textbooks only. Chemistry also, one or two typical questions are being asked but the other questions are based on the NCERT syllabus only. In Physics, last year one question was asked from a topic about which information was not given properly in the NCERT textbook but just one question. So, if the student is thorough with the content of the NCERT textbook and if he practices the past 10-15 years questions then definitely he is going to get 600+ marks easily but it is must to be thorough with the syllabus on NCERT textbooks. Beyond that student should focus on time management.
