The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all-India examination jointly administered and conducted on behalf of the National Coordination Board-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology. The GATE Committee, made up of members of the administrative institutes, is the sole authority to regulate the analysis and to declare the results.
