The CAT (Common Admission Exam) is a test based on computers. On the basis of Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability (VA) and Reading Comprehension (RC), Data Analysis (DI), and Logical Reasoning, the test grades a candidate (LR). Each year, one of the IIMs(Indian Institutes of Management) conducts the test on the basis of a rotation policy and uses the test to pick students for their business administration programs. The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) have also used the CAT score to pick students for their management programs.
