The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Civil Services Examination in India for recruitment to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS), among other positions. Students would enrol in UPSC coaching after passing their 12th grade.
The UPSC Mains exam is the second stage of the Civil Services Examination and consists of 9 papers. IAS aspirants who pass the UPSC Prelims with a score of above in General Studies Paper I and more than 33% in General Studies Paper II (CSAT) is entitled to take the UPSC Mains.
There is a national competitive examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission in India for the recruitment to many Civil Services under the Government of India. Two phases of the UPSC test exist: the preliminary and the main exam.
