Master of Business in Human Resource Management is a 1-year program at Waterford Institute of Technology.
It is an on-campus program offered on both full-time and part time mode.
The program provides the student with the opportunity to greatly enhance their specialist subject knowledge, experience innovative learning methods, and explore opportunities arising from innovation, change, and business development.
It is a semester 3 program in which students will have to complete a dissertation or applied business project or the 3 research papers.
The School is an accredited center for the CIPD professional body and the MBS - (Human Resource Management Stream) awards associate membership of the CIPD which is a global qualification.
A key feature of this program is that it sets the theories into a wider practical perspective, through the use of case studies, state-of-the-art technology, and visiting staff who are experienced and respected practitioners.
As a part of the program, students will engage in a business simulation management exercise where they have the opportunity to work in teams and make strategic decisions about a real-life business.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

An H1 or 2.1 overall awards in a strong specialist business human resource management undergraduate degree or a general business undergraduate degree with an HRM major/specialism.
Students from a non-business degree (for example - BA in Hospitality Management) must have studied Human Resource Management/Personnel Management/People Management during their studies and have achieved a minimum grade of 60% in those subjects.
In some instances graduates who have achieved a 2nd class honours grade 2 in the degrees listed above and who can demonstrate a high level of performance in the human resource management-related subjects may be considered for an interview and shortlisting.

Indian Students Eligibility:

Applicants must have a bachelors degree with 60% from a recognized institution

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
