Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, located in Skudai, Johor is a public, research-intensive university ranked among one of the top universities in Malaysia. Visa Process for International Students

International students who are accepted into UTM require the Visa Approval Letter issued by the Immigration Department to study in Malaysia.

Students require the following documents to apply for VAL:

Students are required to apply online for VAL through Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS). VAL approval may take 3-6 weeks.
After VAL approval, students are required to apply for a single-entry visa (SEV) at Malaysia Embassy and may plan their travel.
Post medical screening at UTM Health Centre and registration, the passport needs to be submitted to the Immigration Department for Student Pass endorsement which may take a period of 4 weeks.
