Universiti Teknologi Petronas (est.1997) is a private university formed by the Malaysian Government. It offers admissions across its two faculties- Engineering, and Science and Information Technology. Recently it has also introduced a few humanities- based courses in its curriculum. Universiti Teknologi Petronas follows a twofold norm for admitting students. In this, the admission committee evaluates the previous academic performance of the students as well as the English language proficiency. If these two requirements are satisfied, the applicant is accepted and offered a seat at the university. To get admitted, the applications must be submitted well in time.
