The goal is to support students as they early on in their research careers to broaden their horizons.

According to an office note released by M Srinivas, director of AIIMS, Delhi, "there would be improvements made to the current mentorship programme for students, such that the undergraduate students are able to form a link with the faculty and also gain fundamental clinical and research skills."

"After joining AIIMS for six months, newly enrolled students are eligible to begin communicating with instructors. Other semester students should enrol right away. This will raise the calibre of the investigation and create contacts for potential future partnerships, according to the memo”.

The students will be urged to write to faculty members expressing their interest in receiving mentoring in order to take advantage of this opportunity.
