However, with the help of an online access to the internet, the candidates will be able to attend their online-semester classes easily. As a result, it will make a huge contribution in saving their current academic session.

There are several engineering colleges and IIT's which were at the top of the list to declare online-semester classes for the students and thereby assisting financial help to those from financially poor backgrounds.

This financial help can only be provided by raising funds from the alumni and purchasing laptops and strong broadband connections for the students who can't afford to have them.

The colleges including Punjab Engineering College Chandigarh, IIT Bombay and IIT Kanpur were at the top of the list in announcing online semester classes for the students and the same have already been entirely commenced from August 5,2020.

AMU-VC Tariq Mansoor, has stated that many of the students are from financially poor backgrounds and can't afford to get an effective online learning due to their financial shortcomings. He further urged the alumni to help and guide the students with the operation of the online gadgets and also the facility they need with online instructions.

Besides this, he also urged to support at least one student with an estimated cost of INR 50,000.

"The decision to conduct the online semester has been taken to continue the teaching-learning experience without “compromising on the health of students”, Mansoor said. However, these funds have been raised by the university for their contribution and effective utilisation towards the dedicated bank accounts of the alumni in India and abroad.
