Arka Jain University, San Pedro College, Philippines to Collaborate for Research and Academics; Read Details Here

December 07, 2021: Arka Jain University and San Pedro College, Philippines have collaborated to work jointly on research projects and academics.

A Memorandum of Understanding, MoU was signed between Arka Jain University, School of Pharmacy and San Pedro College’s Department of Pharmacy during an online ceremony held on December 04, 2021.

At the event, Vice-chancellor of Arka Jain University, S S Razi, Director Amit Kumar Srivastava, Dean of School of Health and Allied Science Jyotirmoy Sahu and Registrar Jasbir Singh Dhanjal were present on behalf Arka Jain University. 

Additionally, San Pedro College President, Sister Aida Francillo and Dr Erwin Fuller were also present at the signing ceremony.

Under this collaboration, both the institutions will work together on various research and development projects. The projects will aim to offer better education facilities and experience to students of both universities. 

Referring to the collaboration, Abhishek Kumar, Akra University’s Head of Media Relation and Outreach said, “The use of highest-quality research-led teaching and learning methods at the university help students evolve and be ready for the requirements of the industry”.

“It provides undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. courses in humanities, commerce, and science streams. Apart from that, the varsity also offers courses in engineering, polytechnic, law, pharmacy, and nursing to nearly 5,550 students,” he added.

While talking about various aspects of the collaboration, Arka Jain University VC Razi said that the partnership will also include the exchange of knowledge between the universities. 

During the event, Arka Jain University Director Amit Kumar Srivastava further congratulated both the departments. Sister Francillo from San Pedro College stated that this collaboration is a key step that will offer a better quality of education to students of both institutes.

The collaboration meeting was inaugurated by the Arka Jain University Vice-Chancellor S S Razi, Director Amit Kumar Srivastava, and Dean (School of Health and Allied Science) Jyotirmoy Sahu.

Founded in 1956, San Pedro College is one of the private Catholic Research and Coeducational institutes in Davao City, Davao del Sur, Philippines. The institute was founded in 1956 and is facilitated under the Dominican Sisters of the Trinity.
