BIMTECH Organised Its 35th Annual Convocation

New Delhi: BIMTECH recently conducted its 35th convocation ceremony on April 17, 2023. The students from the 2021-2023 batch have been successfully graduated.

Tapan Singhel, MD & CEO of Bajaj Allianz General Insurance, a renowned figure in the insurance industry with a wealth of expertise spanning for more than 30 years, attended the historic occasion as the Chief Guest.

The graduating students were thrilled to hear Singhel's motivational convocation speech, in which he shared his success stories and exhorted them to seize the opportunities that are coming their way, remain committed to their objectives, and never give up in the face of adversities.

He counselled them to apply their expertise and abilities to improve society and support the expansion and advancement of the country. He added, "You must acquire resilience, adaptability, and an insatiable appetite for information to survive in the dynamic corporate environment. But keep in mind that using your skills to improve the world is what matters the most.

Always remember that what truly defines success isn't what we accomplish on our own, but rather what a difference we make for people around us. I'm happy for the class of 2023 and wish them luck for their future efforts.

In her welcome address, Jayashree Mohta, Chairperson, Board of Governors, BIMTECH, praised the accomplishments of the institution over the last 35 years and discussed how the B-school's founders came to the realization that aspirant young Indians needed access to high-quality management education.

She claimed that BIMTECH consistently works to strengthen its place in the management education firmament and has achieved a respectable standing thanks to the academic progress of its students and the unwavering dedication of staff.

More than 8,000 graduates have contributed their best towards the growth and progress of primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors of India.

The Annual Progress Report, which was presented by Dr. Harivansh Chaturvedi, Director of BIMTECH, highlighted the institute's advancements over the years, including new academic programmes, partnerships, and research activities. He congratulated the students and gave them advice on how to use their degree for advancing society.

Academic honors were given to the deserving students during the convocation event for their exceptional academic accomplishments, Durgesh Nandan Sarkar and Raichel Suseel received the Dr. C.B. Gupta Memorial Medal and the Yashoda Jaju Memorial Medal, respectively.

Dr. Parul Bajaj received the Dr. Jagdish. N. Sheth Award for Best Doctoral Thesis, valued at INR 50,000, and Palak Mittal and Arushi Jain received the Madhuri J. Sheth Award, valued at INR 25,000. During the ceremony, the Dr. Sarala Birla "Best Chiraiya Award," which was established in honor of the late Sarala Birla, a co-founder of BIMTECH, was also given out.

The placement season for graduating students was excellent with recruitment from top organizations and a notable 20% increase in average wages this year. BFSI and consulting emerged as the top hiring industries, with 36% and 24% of offers coming from each, respectively.
