What keeps you connected with the education sector?

My passion for teaching connects me with the education sector. I want to pass my knowledge to students and help them in their careers. My corporate experience led me to prepare students for the future. 

What are your roles and responsibilities?

“Teaching students, preparing quality study materials and imparting decisions”

My responsibility is primarily focused on academics and students. I need to teach students, provide training and prepare quality study materials. As a HOD, my role is to supervise, coordinate department activities, attendance and impart decisions. I am always ready to solve problems at any time. 

Do you have any extracurricular activities to enhance the skills of the students to face real-world challenges?

“Industrial visits, cultural fests and conferences are available for students”

We organize various extracurricular activities on campus. Students get a chance to visit industries, and understand the latest industry trends. They learn about softwares in real words quickly through these visits. Students can participate in various cultural fests and conferences held on campus.

How does the curriculum of Astral Institute of Technology and Research ensure the students' future?

“Provide company visits, projects, various practical and other activities on campus for pupils”

Students get a chance to participate in conferences, debates and seminars. We conduct company visits, project works, and workshops for students. All these improve their communication skills and prepare them to face the outside world. 

How do you bring a practical approach towards subjects as industry oriented?

“Encourage students to participate in various activities on campus”

I ensure to provide practical knowledge for students as much as possible. They can remember both theory and practicalities of the real world. I encourage students to take part in different programs.

One of the greatest strengths is students and faculties. Their dedication, and passion represent us. It encourages us to build a better supportive environment.

What are the biggest challenges you see for higher education and Astral Institute of Technology and Research specifically?

”New education policy is quite complex for pupils”

New education policy is a greatest challenge for pupils. It is quite complex for students to understand and need to be simplified. Teachers must be trained on this new education policy. So, they can rectify student issues and help it in simplification.
