She has completed M.A.(English), M.A.(CS), M.A.(His), M.Phil., Ph.D., and D.Litt.(Hon.)The USA. She has achieved Gold Medal in her M.Phil., as a University topper from M.S. University, Tirunelveli. She has published several acclaimed articles both in International and National Journals. She's a highly efficient and eloquent orator and speaker in diverse fields. Being a Faculty of the XYZ Department, what are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

To engage classes regularly and punctually impart knowledge through instruction. Also, it helps the institution enforce and maintain discipline among the students.


How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

By developing positive mutually respectful relationships with the students and fellow faculty. By earning the student's trust and fellow faculties' trust from the very beginning of the academic year. By teaching with enthusiasm and passion with a sense of humor.


How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects and make it industry oriented?

By focusing on the practical component of each subject that is skill and application based. Even, by assigning hands-on activities to students instead of mugging up theories practical knowledge can be imparted. 


What are the best practices offered by the department to the students which help them gain the necessary skills?

Here are two best practices offered by the department: Personality and aptitude development programs. Career guidance - focusing upon the practicals.


How do you strategize the curriculum and how often does it get updated to make it befitting for students?

By ensuring that the curriculum provides students with a range of knowledge and innovative problem-solving to evolve effectively. Also, by ensuring that the strategic change and updates consider the potential impacts on careers, people, society, and all life stages - it should be updated at every paradigm shift.

What are your views on the placements and higher education about the students from the department? How does your department prepare students for Higher education?

Placement Is a process of identifying and recruiting a desirable and efficient workforce at the early stage. It provides the candidates with further training as per the requirements of the specific job or company. Also, it opens a wide range of opportunities for students to explore and excel in their fields of interest. 


How do you help your student cope with the competition being so high in the outside world?

By making them highly competitive and updating them as per the demands. Even preparing them to face the challenges also enables them not to give up in any situation.


Do you have any extracurricular activities/ programs to enhance the skills of the students or expose them to real-world challenges?

First of all by encouraging the students to learn a new language or soft skill. Then, by involving in social awareness activities. Also, it can be done by developing personality and aptitude developments.


What are the challenges you faced/ are facing to uplift the quality of education in your department?

The main challenge is the difficulty in imparting the importance of the global language - English. Even, the problem of promoting communication skills, personality development, and career development. The challenge of empowering and equipping the students to face their careers and lives with confidence.


When you came to college, what was your vision and how are you trying to achieve the same?

“Enlightening, Empowering and Emancipating”

To be a lamp lighter with the vision of “Enlightening, Empowering and Emancipating” the student's fraternity. And impart the importance of the “Global language”.


How does the curriculum of your department/college ensure the best practice of the industry?

The curriculum enables the department to embark on sample techniques and tools to teach and train students In the areas such as listening, speaking, reading, And writing skills at their best with ethical practice.


How does the department/ college/University enhance the skills of the faculty and prepare them according to the industry standards?

The skills are enhanced by introducing modern technology with the Internet and using digitally assisted learning tools like software programs, educational apps, handheld devices, etc. Even, by introducing cooperative learning, which makes students BMO analytical, innovative, And Creative.

What are the interventions and approaches you bring in apart from the curriculum to train/teach students?

Different approaches are adopted by introducing the approach of experimenting instead of memorizing and the approach of experience instead of rewriting. Even, through the VAK method- Visual, audio, and kinesthetic. And, by introducing the Learner- Centered approach and task-based or activity-based approach.


What do you see as the department's/ college's greatest strengths and how can they be enhanced?

As far as strength is concerned: cultural values and moral responsibilities are rooted and well-trained research-oriented, experienced, dedicated teaching faculty. And, excellent student-teacher rapport Enhance further by introducing adaptability talents and techniques in academics and by defining the success of the department/College.
