The 7th edition of SAMAVESH: The annual cultural fest at FIIB came back to town with a bang! The blazing line-up of events complemented the chilling weather of the capital city on January 19, 2019. “Samavesh ‘19 was another opportunity for students to hone their managerial capabilities through the practical application of life-size projects outside the classroom. From planning to executing, the whole event was like their baby. And a very healthy one too! 750+ registrations from 60+ colleges; 14 events spanning from Nukkad Natak to Battle of the Bands. The students displayed superb managerial and leadership skills, thinking out-of-the-box to creatively find solutions for the roadblocks they were encountering. Another way in which FIIB delivers its promise to students of challenging them to evolve into the best version of themselves”, said Ms. Radhika Shrivastava, Executive Director, FIIB.

Students from all over Delhi-NCR came to FIIB to participate in exciting events like Step-Up (Solo Dance Competition), Rang de Zameen (Rangoli Competition), PUBG, etc. Spotlight (Fashion Show) really set the stage on fire with students showcasing their talent proudly. “I had so much fun meeting people at FIIB and participating in SAMAVESH, their hard work really shone through, would love to come back for more events here”, said Jugal Royal, winner of the Solo Dance Competition.

Nukkad Natak was another highlight of the day, over 100 participants enacted skits that revolved around various societal issues from air pollution to racism. Each of them was entertained by the audience and also urged them to rethink how to solve those issues prevailing around. Kalakriti (Face Painting Competition) was proof of how an artist can transform anything into a canvas. Major learning of the day was that talent combined with hard work is the only recipe for success.
