Hyderabad, March 31, 2019: ICFAI Law School organised a four-day Celebrations of Law Festival – Lex Knot and Shri N J Yasaswy Memorial Fourth National Moot Court Competition-2019. The event was scheduled from March 28 - 31, 2019 at ICFAI Campus, Dontanpally.

The valedictory session was graced by the Chief Guest for the occasion Hon’ble Sri Justice Challa Kodanda Ram, High Court of Judicature, Telangana State, Guest of Honour, Hon’ble Sri Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili, High Court of Judicature Telangana State on March 31. The Director of ICFAI Law School, Prof. (Dr.) A.V. Narasimha Rao presided the event.

In the event, the Hon’ble Sri Justice Challa Kodanda Ram stressed on the personality development books such as “Law of Success” and “Seven Habits of highly effective people” which shape the mannerisms of a would-be lawyer. He prescribed these books to the students for their overall personality development. He said that these books talk about how to do and what to do in different trying situations. He advised the student participants to nurture a good character in order to be a successful lawyer.

Hon’ble Sri Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili said that the job of a lawyer is to formulate the case in a simplified manner and present the same supported by relevant precedents, thereby convincing and impressing upon the judge. He further added that the student should maintain voice modulation which is an essential factor for better articulation of the case. He said that the voice modulation of the advocate has to change accordingly in order to give needed emphasis on important legal issues before a judge. He advised the student participants and would be lawyers to instill the confidence in the clients by merely following the law.

Prof. (Dr.) A V Narasimha Rao, Director ICFAI Law School Deemed to be university, and Chairperson for the event, said that the event Lex Knot has its importance like other events of IFHE. He said that ICFAI Law School Hyderabad has set a trend that is being imbibed by other Law Universities in organising events which have a combination of academic, clinical, cultural and sports activities. This gives the students an all-around exposure. Besides, it also helps them to learn a lot in the practical aspects of the legal field through interaction with experienced lawyers and judges. The event coordinator Prof. Preeti and students around 2000 from other Universities, faculty participated in the event.
