What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“Influencing the lives of students in the most positive way”

Education prepares everyone for survival and being connected to this sector brings dignity and prestige. This sector gives you a chance to shape a human’s life and it is equal to giving someone a new life. A career in the education sector made me believe that I am capable of benefiting society.

What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

“I would describe myself as a democratic leader”

When you are in a leadership position, optimism plays an important role. I believe that every child is entitled to quality education and equal opportunities. Therefore, leaders and teachers must continuously strive to be facilitators of growth and change. Leadership is an art which needs to be comprehended carefully.

How do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your school?

“Think of your student ambassadors as nano-influencers”

To form a strategy, the first and most important thing is extensive research about the industry. Next comes exploring the advertising methods. It is important to know your target market and the method best suited for the same. Your plans tend to work better if you mobilize your manpower. I would like to conclude by saying that your students are true ambassadors.

In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying here in your institute/ university/ school?

“The structure of our curriculum is in-depth and delivered with extreme discipline”

The education system in India and abroad is different. Certainly, we can offer the best aspects of our education system to an inbound student in terms of learning curriculum, developing additional skill sets, also a great level of developing a common-sense and positive attitude. Our system has taught us to be dedicated and hard-working and the same will be imparted to an overseas student.

Any insights into how your university could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

“Be open to different perspectives”

Caste, race, or religion has never been an issue here. While these factors can be put aside, a student’s economic background is definitely something that should be considered. I believe that everyone has the right to get educated so I have dedicated myself to provide equal opportunities to all the students. Scholarships, assistance with loans, placements, are some of the initiatives that help such students.

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the University and the students are?

“Helping my students achieve their dreams”

My roles and responsibilities are mutual. As a leader, I have to ensure the following:

  • Imparting quality education
  • Exposure to the industry
  • Quality Training Opportunities
  • Strictly adhere to the policies and rules of the university
  • Ensure equal learning opportunities

What are some of the biggest challenges you see, both for higher education in general and for XYZ University specifically?

“Supporting research and putting emphasis on the importance of soft skills”

Insufficient funding for quality remains one of the biggest challenges after funding for research projects. The core skill development and competency level of the students coming from schools are considerably weak, including communication skills and confidence.
