What are your roles and responsibility towards students?

“To support students on their academic front and shape their future”

A good teacher is one who not only supports students on their academic front but also has the zeal to shape up the future of the students. I must go beyond academics to instill in them moral values as well as build up their confidence level. This is not a day task but from the point when the student enters the institute, the teacher must be the mentor of the student.

How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

“Providing Students with interactive Doubt clearing Sessions”

Whenever you are considering the relationship with the students, the first thing to be focused on is your impartial nature. Every student insight of a teacher must be equal. Secondly, you need to have a lot of patience to listen to them, their problems as well as you need to motivate the students since every kid is having a different set of skills and this is how the student will excel by himself. The treatment with your colleagues must also be impartial and should be healthy. Many times, we need to raise our supporting hands for our juniors or colleagues if they want so that a healthy relationship can be built. You must not be the person who always criticizes any student or faculty, instead, you must be a motivator and a team leader.

How do you make the Course Curriculum industry-oriented?

“To train students in both practical and theoretical aspects by providing skill enhancement programs”

Theoretical knowledge alone has no value until it is applied for practical purposes. Definitely subjects like Pharmaceutical sciences need a proper theoretical background with a lot of practical training. It’s a must for the pharmacy students to have good training in the procedures applied in the development and formulation of any medicament so they need a practical approach. For the same, we in our college develop an environment for the students to be there in the labs for 3-4 hrs daily as per the curriculum also and a teacher is always there for the same hours in the lab with the students. Apart from this we also take students for the industrial visits, as well as Guest lectures/ Webinars/ Seminars of the industrial persons, conducted in the premises throughout the semester. We also support them in developing the research orientation by having projects.

What are the best practices offered by the department to the students which help them gain necessary skills?

“Providing students with the best facilities according to the present-day demands of the industry”

At Modern College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, we generally p[provide students with the best facilities, like we have all the instruments utilized in practicals in running conditions, we also make arrangements for students to have training at our industries (Modern laboratories and Nandini labs) also. Apart from this, they have separate library hours. There is a sports club, entrepreneur club, Women development cell, as well as we also guide students about the competitive examination like GPAT training is provided to students, we also have separate aptitude classes.

Apart from this, every faculty is engaged in many activities for the development of students. Per twenty students there are teacher mentors who guide them throughout the course. The teachers are also very punctual for every task they are given.

How are your strategies and updating the curriculum for the students?

“We strictly follow RGPV, AICTE, and PCI rules while strategizing and updating the curriculum”

We follow the RGPV, AICTE, and PCI rules and regulations to implement the curriculum strategies for the students. Before the starting of any semester, a teacher has his teaching plan and manual in his hands. While commencing the classes we strictly follow the timetable scheduled, as well as we also have a regular feedback system.hhhh

“Encourage students to join Skill Enhancing Programs”

For us, at the Modern Institute of pharmaceutical sciences, we cater to all kinds of facilities for students, which boosts the confidence level of the students. Before commencing the semester, we have a plan of development for every student. We plan our academic calendar and include in that all the activities that they need to have during the semester.
