What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“Continuous thrust for learning and passion to educate youths of our society are the key factors”

Teaching and research are my passions. Being a professor, I endeavor to contribute to the creation of capable human capital who can solve problems and create value in our socio-economic and cultural environment. This idea keeps me enthused and engaged with the learning environment. I have held key positions at education institutes throughout my professional career where I have learned something or the other. Talking about the key factors that keep me connected with the education industry is equal access to education and high learning productivity.

How does the curriculum of your institute ensure the best practices of the industry?

“Our curriculum is an amalgamation of various technical programs and training and hence offers education as per industry demands”

All the departments in our college work in sync to provide the best quality education to the students so that once they are outside the institute premises, they can stand on their own and face the world with much ease and enthusiasm. We know that today’s students will need a variety of skills to stand apart from the crowd. If I talk about fulfilling industry demands through curriculum, our college has taken many initiatives over the last few years to bridge the gap between industry and academia like project-based learning, regular talks and seminars by industry experts and professionals. In project-based learning, students are given open-ended problems and they are required to provide solutions for the same.

What do you think should be the university’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“University will be focusing on research and industry-based education in upcoming years”

The University’s top priority over the next 10 years is to focus on research and one community service project. I will also suggest that some of the research projects must be made a part of the course curriculum so that students get in-depth knowledge.

Any suggestions that you would like to give to the current youth?

“Always keep a positive and learning attitude”

I would suggest to the current youth to continue moving on with a positive attitude and moral support. Whenever they are low or want to speak anything, they can reach out to people whom they feel comfortable with. The teachers are always there for moral support.
