Calcutta University Opens MA Admission 2022 in Various Specialisations

New Delhi: Calcutta University has invited applications for admission into its master's program in various specialisations including Pali, Persian, French, and Russian for the academic year 2022-23. 

Candidates interested in pursuing any of the master's courses from Calcutta University must meet the requisite eligibility criteria before applying. Thus, the admission details of each course are provided below. 

Calcutta University Admission 2022: Pre-MA in Pali 

The varsity has issued applications inviting candidates for admission to Calcutta University MA Course in Pali. Interested candidates can apply till March 20, 2022. In order to enrol for a master's degree in Pali, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any stream or must have passed a 2-year Diploma in Pali/Buddhist Studies or passed from any affiliated subjects.

Calcutta University Pre-MA in Pali Admission 2022: Highlights 

Candidates must submit their applications along with self-attested copies of testimonials and other documents through online mode, i.e. by email to smpali@caluniv.ac.in till March 20, 2022. 

All the eligible candidates will have to appear for the entrance test. Details regarding the entrance examination will be intimated to the candidates via e-mail by March 22, 2022. 

The University has planned to intake a total of 20 students for the MA course in Pali by applying the reservation rules. Candidate selection for the course will be based on their performance in the written test and viva-voce that will be conducted through online mode as per the schedule issued by the university. 

The Viva-voce will be conducted on March 23, 2022, from 11 AM onwards, whereas the results will be announced by March 24, 2022, and successful candidates will be intimidated by email/ Whatsapp. These shortlisted students will have to come for physical verification of their documents at the U.C.A.C. office, C.U. on a specified date.

Calcutta University Admission 2022: Pre-MA in French 

The Calcutta University has invited applications for admission to Pre-M.A. Course (2021-22) in French. The varsity has planned to intake a total of 20 students for this Pre-MA in French course. Interested candidates can apply till March 16, 2022. Candidates must be a graduate in any stream with either a 2-year Diploma in French or a DELF A2 certification in French to be eligible for admission into the French course. 

Calcutta University Pre-MA in French Admission 2022: Highlights

Candidates interested to apply for the French course must submit their applications along with self-attested copies of testimonials and other documents in online mode, i.e. by Email to mdclang@caluniv.ac.in till March 16, 2022. 

The eligible candidates for the entrance test will be informed regarding the examination method by E-mail on March 22, 2022. The selection process comprises both written and viva-voce, which will be held offline as per the following schedule from 1 pm on March 21, 2022. 

The results will be declared by March 24, 2022, and the successful candidates will have to come for physical verification of their documents at the U.C.A.C. office, C.U. on a specified date.

Calcutta University Admission 2022: Pre-MA in Russian 

The varsity has invited applications for admission into the Pre-MA in Russian (2021-22). Candidates must be a graduate (Pass or Honours) in any stream and have a diploma degree in Russian. The number of seats offered for this course is 10 with reservations applied. 

Calcutta University Pre-MA in Russian Admission 2022: Highlights

Candidates must submit their application along with self-attested copies of testimonials and other documents in online mode. - E-mail: language_ruscu@yahoo.com, till March 21, 2022. All the eligible candidates will receive an email regarding the entrance exam. 

The varsity will conduct an online selection test comprising both written and viva-voce. The written exam will be conducted for 100 marks on March 23, 2022, from 1 - 3 pm, whereas the Viva-voce will be held on the same day from 6:30 PM onwards. 

The results for the same will be announced on March 24, 2022, and successful candidates will be intimidated by email. The commencement of classes will be announced in due course.

Calcutta University Admissions 2022: Pre-M.A. Course in Persian 

The Calcutta University has invited apo for admission to Pre-M.A. Course (2021-22) in Persian, through online mode. Candidates must be degree holders (Gen/Pass) in Persian or any equivalent Degree in Persian. The varsity has planned to intake a total of 10 students for the Persian course with reservations applied. 

Calcutta University Pre- MA in Persian Admission 2022: Highlights

The application must be submitted along with self-attested copies of testimonials and other documents via the online mode to the Email @shamsmallicknadwi@gmail.com by March 12, 2022.

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their marks. All the successful candidates from the Pre-M.A. Course in Persian will be admitted to M.A. in Persian, in the Department of Arabic and Persian, University of Calcutta.

The MA Courses in Pali, French and Russian are only to prepare the candidates for M.A. in Russian, M.A. in French, and M. A. in Pali, at the University of Calcutta and does not provide a Certificate or Mark sheet at the end of the academic session.

Therefore, the successful candidates from Pre-M.A. Courses will obtain Calcutta University Admission 2022 to M.A. in Russian (2022-2024), M.A. in French (2022-2024), M.A. in Pali (2022-2024) only if they fulfil all other eligibility criteria within the permissible number of seats for internal candidates in M.A. Russian, M.A. in French, and M.A. in French.
