Calcutta University to Conduct Semester Exams in Online Mode Due to New Covid Variant: Read Full Report Here

CU Semester Exam 2021: Keeping in mind the COVid-19 new variant situation in the country, Calcutta University has decided to conduct the semester examination for both class undergraduate and postgraduate students in the online mode. 

Students of Calcutta University, CU who are now preparing to appear for the first, third, and fifth-semester examinations of their undergraduate and postgraduate will appear for the exam in online mode. 

The examination for Calcutta UG, PG Course 2021-22 students will be held in the month of January and February 2022. The decision has been made to ensure the safety of the students during the ongoing pandemic situation in the country. 

During a meeting held on Thursday, December 09, 2021, Calcutta University Vice-Chancellor Sonali Chakrabarty Banerjee officially stated that due to the new variant of COVID-19 in India, the test will be held in digital mode at present

Adding to the statement, the Vice-Chancellor stated that the examination for both third and fifth-semester students will be held in January 2022. The exam will commence for postgraduate and undergraduate students who have submitted the examination form. 

The first-semester examination of the postgraduate and undergraduate program of Calcutta University will be held in February 2022 for all registered candidates.

During the exam commencement, the question paper will be uploaded to the official website of affiliated universities. Once released, students will be able to download and check the question papers.

To submit the answer sheet, the Calcutta University UG, PG Course 2021-22 students are required to type their answers on their smart devices and send them to the exam authority. 

Additionally, students can write the answers on the answer sheet paper. To submit the written answer sheet, students will have to scan the sheet and mail it to the concerned exam authority. More details for the same will be released soon on the university’s official website. 

Earlier, the various 150 affiliated colleges of Calcutta University have started the commencement of classes at both UG and PG levels on their respective campus grounds. The classes are being held in both online and offline mode for all students.
