CBSE Board Exam 2021: Among all the rising conjectures and concerns about CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2021, a senior official confirmed in an interview that the exams will be conducted in the same written format as the previous years.

CBSE Board Exam 2021

The Director clarified all the doubts and rumors related to the conduction pattern of CBSE 2021 Board Exams. He said that the exams will be conducted in written format, the same as the previous years. 

He further stated the conduction of online exams is not possible as it would not be fair to students who are not equipped with enough facilities to appear online. 

He also said that all the COVID-19 precautionary measures will be followed by the board for the conduction of exams to ensure the safety of the appearing students.

CBSE Board Exam 2021: Exam Schedule

Mr. Emmanuel responded to the query related to the exam schedule by stating that the CBSE Board has not taken any confirmed decision yet, despite several state governments and state boards having decided to postpone the annual and board exams. 

The Board is currently consulting all the necessary stakeholders and will soon release the final schedule.

CBSE Board Exam 2021: Exam Format & Composition

Mr. Emmanuel stated that the board has decided to bring slight changes to the composition of the exam papers wherein the number of application-based questions will be increased over a period of time. 

The previous year, CBSE introduced 10% application-based questions for Class 10 students, which will consecutively be increased to 20% this year. Similarly, from this year application-based questions with 10% weightage will be introduced for Class 12 students also.

CBSE Board Exam 2021: Online Classes

The Director informed the press reporting by saying that over 90% of CBSE schools across the country are well-equipped with internet facilities and hence are able to conduct classes for the students. 

He said that of the total number of enrolled students, 30% are unable to participate in the online classes as of now. To tackle this problem, the Board has directed the schools to pay individual attention to such students and provide them simple and short notes to ensure their academic continuity. 

Moreover, the teachers are also directed to be connected over the phone to resolve any kind of doubt. Another significant step is to ensure that the students are able to continue their studies through Peer Learning, where students will guide the juniors, which is also being implemented.
