CBSE Extends Registrations for Dispute Redressal Mechanism for Term-I Exams till April 20, 2022

New Delhi: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially extended the registration deadline for online Dispute Redressal Mechanism till April 20, 2022 for CBSE Term I examination.

CBSE has notified that schools can apply for dispute redressal of both class 10 and 12 within April 20, 2022. Since some schools informed the board about their inability to apply for the online redressal mechanism within the due date, the board has extended the deadline as a special measure.

Earlier, CBSE opened the online dispute redressal window for Term-1 exams for class 10 students till March 26 and up to March 31 for class 12 students. As per the board, disputes will be addressed through a verification process.

According to the CBSE notification, the following instructions are to be followed by the schools and students.

  • If the students wish to raise any dispute regarding performance on Term 1 exams, they can inform their school by writing.
  • After which, the schools will process the students' request and if any dispute can be resolved at school level, the outcome will be communicated by the school to the concerned student in writing.
  • In case the dispute is to be resolved by CBSE, the disputes received by the schools will be combined as a report and will be uploaded in one go on the school request submission for resolution in the link mentioned on the official CBSE notice.
  • Further, the schools will have to upload their dispute within the extended time frame on the portal. The CBSE will not consider the requests sent by the schools on any email id or any other platform.

Incase of partial or incomplete information being uploaded earlier, CBSE has asked the schools to complete their applications by the revised last date, to avoid missing out on the verification process.

All the schools are strictly directed to follow the above mentioned instructions so that the disputes raised by the students are resolved by the board in an appropriate manner within the deadline.
