CBSE’s General Body Meeting was conducted recently to discuss scores of aspects concerning the current academic year amid COVID-19 pandemic.

As per sources, the board decided, in case any answer paper or answer sheets are lost in transit during this crisis, marks of best of three subjects will be considered. Adding to this, the principal of a certain school also stated that usually in such cases the mean of top 3 marks was considered earlier.

As of now, on 25 June, CBSE announced the cancellation of examinations of remaining papers. Instead, the internal assessment scheme has been released for the pending subjects.

However, the CBSE Class 10 results for 2020 will be released by July 15.

The General Body Meeting also came to useful conclusions on the future curricula. NCERT is already working on slashing the overall syllabus of each class by 33%. The board also wishes to rationalize the curricula from Classes 1 to 8.

Additionally, as per reports, CBSE Class 12 results will be out mid of July 2020

Modifications in CBSE Board Exams 2021

The reduced syllabi for classes 9 to 12 will be released soon, by the end of June. amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the overall teaching time has certainly reduced. 

As a fact, CBSE will release details of question patterns that are likely to include 50% of conceptual Multiple-Choice-Questions (MCQs) and 50% theoretic questions.

As a follow-up of the success of DIKSHA App, CBSE has now again come up with Sameeksha App that will specifically cater to teaching requirements. 

Through the general body meeting, CBSE confirmed that unique emails are sent to each school, for all correspondence to be done over emails only.

CBSE has planned to enhance the participation of students in sports and other extracurricular activities. The board will release modalities to declare schools based on inclusive environment, education and social service. 

CBSE will launch an online application and fair education system to ensure transparency of the procedure.
