Delhi University Admission 2022: DU to Shortly Begin UG Admissions Process

New Delhi: Delhi University (DU) has announced that it will shortly begin accepting applications for admission to undergraduate programmes for the upcoming academic session 2022-23.

Delhi University Admission 2022: DU to Shortly Begin UG Admissions Process

Candidates are urged to have all required documentation on hand by August 31. As a result of the postponement of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) exams, the commencement of the DU admissions process is still unknown.

Earlier, DU used the cut-off scores from Class 12 exams to determine the aspirants' admission. However, it was decided that admission from this year onwards would be based on the CUET results

The varsity notified the certifications required for the admission procedure on Thursday, including Class 10, 12, and an EWS certificate if applicable.

The university will soon begin accepting applications for undergraduate enrollment. Candidates seeking admission to the UG courses offered by DU should ensure that the following certifications or documents (as appropriate) are in a ready format, the notification read.

According to the DU notification, the candidate's name must match the candidate's name as it appears in CUET(UG)-2022 and on the associated school board qualification certificates. Similar to this, the names of the parents must also match on the certificates.

In addition, it was clarified that no undertaking on account of missing, illegible, or unavailable documents and certifications would be accepted at the time of application.

The varsity authorities have stated that the admission process is expected to be delayed by "at least a week," due to the extension of the CUET-UG schedule following the exam cancellation at several centres last week due to technological issues. Initially, the CUET-UG was scheduled to end on August 20, however, it will now conclude on August 28.
