New Delhi: Delhi University has decided to offer dropped-out students in their final year a one-time "centenary" chance to appear for their examination and complete their degree.
Under this initiative, students of Delhi University who have dropped out of their course for whatever reasons have the opportunity to appear for the final year examination. This step is taken in view of Delhi University's year-long centenary celebrations starting from May 01, 2022.
Candidates who are interested in completing their degree and meet the criteria released by Delhi University can fill up the application form to appear for their exams from June 20, 2022. The process will start on the official website of the university, at du.ac.in.
Following the announcement made by Delhi University, the faculty members, department heads, colleges, and centers are now notified to complete their confirmation and verifications of registration forms from June 20, 2022.
The application window will open for undergraduate and postgraduate candidates who have applied for regular courses in DU-affiliated colleges. Additionally, NCWEB, School of Open Learning (SOL), and External cell students can also apply for the registration process.
Talking about the decision, DU officials said, "Undergraduate, postgraduate and professional course students who took regular courses, NCWEB, DU School of Open Learning (SOL) and External Cell will be able to apply for registration”.
“The former students who meet the criteria can submit their registration forms for centenary chance examination by June 14, 2022, on the university website," DU's Dean of Examination added in official order.
Informing about the process, the officials further added that the online student portal link will only be open for students of DU UG, PG Course who meet the criteria. Registered students are advised to keep a copy of the registration form for further communication.
After the registration process for DU Centenary Chance Examination 2022, the university will release the admit card. “The provisional admit cards will be issued after confirmation of the registration form by their respective faculty, department, college or center” it added.
