Delhi University receives AICTE approval to start MBA programme in distance learning mode

New Delhi: Delhi University gets approval from the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for Masters in Business Administration (MBA) programme, which will begin in the Academic Session 2022-23 under Open and Distance Learning Mode. 

The clearance of the Distance Education Bureau of the UGC (DEB-UGC) is now being sought. The programme will begin as soon as the DEB-UGC permission is granted, said Payal Mago, the director of the Campus of Open Learning. 

Delhi University has received the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programme to be launched from the Academic Session 2022-23 through Open and Distance Learning Mode. Now, the approval of the Distance Education Bureau, University Grant Commission (DEB-UGC) is awaited. As soon as the DEB-UGC approval is received, the programme will be started,” said Professor Payal Mago, director, COL, DU.

When asked to the director of the Campus of Open Learning, when DEB-UGC clearance is expected, Mago indicated it will be within the next 10-15 days. 

Only from this session will we begin the programme. We must complete material preparation for at least the first semester, which is already underway. This is an ongoing procedure. "We are creating content for major papers and will offer it to our MBA teachers and academic coordinators in a timely manner," Mago stated.

In the meantime, the deadline for applying for postgraduate (PG) admission in 2022 has been extended. The deadline to apply for DU PG admissions in 2022 has been extended to June 10. Candidates can apply for postgraduate studies at Delhi University by visiting pgadmission.uod.ac.in.

Candidates in the general, OBC, and EWS categories can pay a Rs 750 application cost, while students in the SC and ST, as well as PWBD categories, must pay a Rs 300 registration fee.

Many students enrolling in Delhi University's School of Open Learning (SOL), non-collegiate boards, open and online learning of other schools and institutions may not have the same opportunities for engagement or professional exposure as students in traditional universities. Such students can apply to the Delhi University for admission to career-oriented training programmes and skill-based short-term certificate courses.

Steps to apply for DU PG Admission 2022: 

  1. Visit the DU PG admission portal: pgadmission.uod.ac.in 
  1. Use the "New User Registration" link 
  1. Fill out all the DU PG admission form, upload all the required documents, and pay the online registration fee 
  1. Save and download the registration form 
  1. Take a print out for further references
