New Delhi: Delhi University has planned to issue the hard copies of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees who graduated in 2021, within two months of convocation, which is expected to be held in February 2022.
Now, DU students won’t have to wait long to receive their UG and PG degrees as Delhi University is all set to issue the hard copies of degrees within two months of the convocation, scheduled to be held on February 26, 2022.
According to the latest reports, the decision to issue the Delhi University undergraduate and postgraduate degrees was made to reduce the graduates' woes as they used to receive their degree two years after the course completion.
DS Rawat, Delhi University’s Dean of Examination, said that the university has planned to award degrees to all the students who graduated last year. Even the data has been sent for printing. Earlier, the data was collected through colleges which was a time-consuming and challenging process.
Rawat said that the university made some changes in the DU exam form, wherein the UG and PG students were asked to fill in their roll number and name in Hindi. Even the DU UG, PG marksheet 2021 had the same information on it.
Further, the DU students were informed to check their marksheets after the declaration of DU UG, PG results 2021 on the official website, du.ac.in. Also, the varsity sent an email to more than 1.7 lakh students in order to confirm the information on their marksheets, the report added.
DU Admission via CUCET from this Year Onwards
A total of 77,563 regular students, including undergraduate and postgraduate students, will be receiving their degrees. While around 91,850 UG and 1,126 PG students will be receiving their degrees this year.
Moreover, the varsity will issue the PhD degrees to 650 PhD scholars.
This year, the Delhi University is all set to celebrate its centenary celebrations on May 1, for which a total of INR 10 crores has been allocated. The university has planned several events in a year-long celebration that will culminate from May 1.
Delhi University has decided on the date of February 26, to carry out its 98th convocation ceremony at the Multipurpose Hall of the university’s Sports Stadium Complex.
