While talking about the current marking policies of Delhi University Faculty, Professor Yogesh Singh, the Recently-Appointed Vice-Chancellor stated that making policies are strict and put students at a disadvantage during the admission process.

Adding to the statement, he said, "We have many options for admission, first is to continue with the existing system, the second could be normalization of marks of various boards, third could be an entrance test”.

“While the fourth could be giving 50 percent weightage to the entrance test and 50 percent to (board) marks. Let the academic council and executive council take a call” he further added.

The decision to add changes in DU Admission 2022 session has been made due to the various controversies brought in the 2021 session. The university recorded the top cut-off of 100% for its popular courses.

To make the admission process more transparent, Delhi University has formed a nine-member panel. The panel is constituted by Prof Singh and has contributed to ensuring 'substantial objectivity' in the undergraduate admission process of Delhi University.
