DIET Delhi Releases Merit List 2020 at scertdelhiadmission.nic.in; Read How to Check

District Institute for Education and Training(DIET) released the merit list for admission into D.El.ED and DPSE courses. Read the article to check the DIET Merit List 2020. 

Candidates can check the merit list from the official website i.e., scertdelhiadmission.nic.in. The seats are allocated to the candidates according to their merits, the choice of colleges, the category/subcategory, etc. For more information on the DIET, Delhi Merits List 2020, please check the information on this page.

The eligible candidates shall be considered on the basis of general merit irrespective of their category, but if the reserved candidates are not on the general merits, they shall be on the merits of the specific reserved category/subcategory they have applied for.

How is DIET Delhi Merit List 2020 Compiled?

Admission to D.El.Ed course is made according to the marks secured in 10+2 qualifying examination or its equivalent examination. However, if the candidates have the same number of marks in class 12th, then, the following given criteria is applied.

• Firstly, the percentage of marks of examination up to two decimal places is considered.
• If the tie is still there, then, the older candidate in age is considered.

Documents Required at the Time of Admission

There are some documents that candidates need to take at the time of admission. Make sure you carry all the original as well as photocopies of the documents.

• Original certificate of class 10th
• Mark sheets of senior secondary school and secondary school examination or its equivalent
• Certificate of reserved / subcategory (if applicable)
• Medical fitness certificate from a registered BAMS / MBBS certificate
• Printout of the application form
• Candidates taking admission from NIOS or any other distance mode must produce the certificate that they have attended senior secondary

After the verification of documents the candidates are handed over with a verification letter. Without having this letter, the further admission process will not be carried.

DIET Delhi Seat Allotment 2020

The candidates are allotted the seats according to the merit and choices filled by them in category/subcategory. The list of the allotment of seats is published on the official website. An allotment letter is issued to the candidates and they can download the same by providing the login id received after the registration. After this, candidates need to appear at allotted DIET/institute to take admission.

What is Meant by Freezing and Sliding of the Seats?

The shortlisted candidates are given the opportunity to lock their seats after each round of admission. Candidates can freeze their seats by clicking on the 'freeze' option available on their account on the admission website. If candidates wish to continue participating in the next round, they must submit an online request for the same.

Candidates who reported to the center and paid half the fee but either did not freeze the seats or did not withdraw the option may use the sliding option. This option is based on the choices already made by the candidates in the application form and also on the merits of the candidates.

Physical Reporting of the Candidates at the Allotted DIET / Institute

The documents which have to be taken at the institute are listed below. After the verification of documents, the candidates are issued the provisional admission offer letter.

• Verification slip
• Part admission fee receipt
• Provisional allotment letter
• 2 sets of photocopies of all the verified documents

Important Note: After the completion of all the rounds, the online counselling is done. This is done to fill the vacant seats if any. The candidates who have not been allotted the seats and are verified are eligible for this round.
