New Delhi: Delhi University affiliated St Stephen's College has allotted a total of 85% for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores and 15% to the interview marks for all categories of students for DU admissions 2022.
Being a minority institution, St Stephen's College reserves the right to proceed with the undergraduate admissions according to its own admission policy.
As a result of which, the DU-affiliated college has decided to consider 85% weightage of the CUET and 15% weightage of the students' performance in the interview.
St Stephen's College Admission 2022 Process
Candidate's admission to undergraduate courses at St Stephen's will be done according to the following process.
- Candidates interested to apply for St Stephen's College courses are required to apply on the college's UG admission portal which will be updated shortly.
- Candidates applying to St Stephen's College must have also registered for CUET at the official portal @cuet.samarth.ac.in.
- Shortlisting of candidates will be based on the CUET score, who will be further called for the interview process.
- Based on CUET 2022 Score and the candidate's performance in the interview, the college will issue the final list of the selected candidates on the college's website.
St Stephen's College Admission 2022: Reservation
The college provides 50 per cent of seats for general candidates, while the remaining seats are reserved for Christian students.
According to DU vice-chancellor Yogesh Singh, the college is supposed to take only CUET scores for admissions to general seats and can conduct interviews, i.e, the colleges can assign 85 per cent weightage to CUET scores and the remaining 15% to the interview.
Recently, St Stephen’s College along with Jesus and Mary College (JMC) requested DU to permit conducting interviews after the CUET 2022, which was declared as a primary entrance exam to be taken by the candidates for admission to DU courses.
About St Stephen's College
Affiliated to DU, recognized by the UGC and accredited by the NAAC with an ‘A’ grade, St. Stephen’s College is widely renowned for its UG and PG courses along with Language courses with different specializations.
Admission for the UG courses is based on the CUET entrance examination score or an aptitude test followed by a personal interview conducted by the university. However, for admissions to the PG courses, the college will interview the eligible candidates.
