Further, the committee also recommended conducting the CUCET twice a year.
Why CUCET?

The scraping cutoffs of Delhi University has created a huge pressure on the students as well as parents to get seats in various colleges. With the implementation of CUCET, there'll be no stream selection, but there'll be a multi-disciplinary setup where the students will get the option to select a foreign language.

CUCET Pattern
The Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) will be conducted as a computer-based aptitude test with two sections, namely, Section A as Common Aptitude Test and Section B as Domain-Specific Test
Students seeking admission to all the universities must sit for the CUCET exam. Some experts also suggest that it's high time to introduce a common admission test for all the universities.
Why is it important to introduce CUCET?

- Students being pressured for the increasing cutoffs of the university.
