Delhi ITI Admission 2023 will begin in the month of July 2023. The Department of Training & Technical Education Government of NCT will conduct the Delhi ITI Admission 2023. Delhi ITI is a state-level admission procedure conducted for government and private colleges offering Delhi ITI Admission 2023.

Delhi ITI Admission is entirely based on merit. Candidates are shortlisted based on marks of the qualifying exams. There is no separate entrance exam to offer Delhi ITI Admission 2023. Delhi ITI Admission will be conducted in the online mode. Depending upon the type of trade, the eligibility criteria for Delhi ITI Admission 2023 may vary. The Delhi ITI Admission Fee is INR 200 for Haryana ITI Admission 2023.

Delhi ITI Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria

  • Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 14 years of age as on August 01, 2023.
  • Nationality: Candidates must be Indian Citizens to be eligible for Delhi ITI Admission.
  • Qualification: Candidate must have passed their Class 8 / 10 examination from a recognized board.

Note: Candidates who are appearing for their final qualifying exams are also eligible for Haryana ITI Admission 2023.

Delhi ITI Admission Form 2023

Admission to the ITI courses in government institutions takes place via online mode. Following is the detailed Stepby-step application procedure. 

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of Delhi ITI Admission 2023 and register as a new candidate and agree to the terms and conditions.
  • Step 2: Fill out the application form and enter all the required details such as name, contact number, email id, DOB, etc.
  • Step 3: Upload all the documents such as photographs, signatures, educational qualifications, etc in the prescribed size and format.
  • Step 4: Pay the application fee of INR 200 through the online mode of payment and take a printout of the application form.

Documents Required for Delhi ITI Admission 2023

  • Category certificate, if applicable.
  • Sub-Category certificate, if applicable.
  • An Inmate of Orphanage certificate, if applicable.
  • Certificate from BDO for residents of rural areas of Delhi, if applicable.
  • Mark sheet and certificate of the qualifying examination.

  • Undertaking by the student in the prescribed format in PDF.

  • Register on the official ITI Admission portal.
  • Generate your application number and password by providing basic details.
  • Upload the required documents.
  • Pay the required fees.
  • Go through the online verification of documents.
  • Choose your preferred trades and ITIs.
  • Participate in the online counseling procedure.
  • Pay the required admission fee and secure admission in your preferred ITI.

Delhi ITI Admission 2023: Results 

After the submission of choices by the candidates, a final rank list will be published by DTTE, Delhi after a round of corrections. It is important to carefully check the tentative rank list for any errors.

Delhi ITI Admission 2023: Counselling Session

  • After the publication of the final rank list, DTTE will publish the first round of seat allotment results.
  • Those who receive their preferred allotment need to take a printout of the allotment letter for future reference.
  • Those who do not receive an allotment will have to wait for the next round of seat allotment.
  • Depending upon the seat availability, there will be 4 – 6 seat allotment rounds in 2023.

Delhi ITI Admission 2023: Reservation in Seats

Admission to the government ITI programs in Delhi is mainly reserved for the graduates of high schools that are situated in Delhi. 

  • 90% of all the seats are reserved for the students passing their qualifying examination from Delhi. 
  • 9% of the seats are reserved for students coming from schools located in other states. 
  • The remaining 1% of the seats are reserved for wards of registered wards of J&K migrants.
  • Additionally, 5% of the marks obtained are awarded as an extra weightage for candidates coming from the rural areas of Delhi and for Defense Personnel.

Ques. What to do if the Delhi ITI admission portal asks for a document that does not apply to me?

Ans. Candidates must upload all the documents that are required according to his/her category. However, even after double-checking, if you are sure, you will have to upload a white sheet and mention in writing ‘Name of Document’ is not applicable after duly signing it.

Ques. What to do if I have made a mistake in the Delhi ITI Admission portal?

Ans. Candidates should carefully input all information that is required and try to avoid any mistakes. If there is any discrepancy, the DTTE officials will raise an objection which the students must resolve in due time.

Ques. What to do if I spot a discrepancy in the tentative rank list?

Ans. All candidates are advised to thoroughly go through the tentative rank list published by DTTE. If there are any issues, students can send an email to itidelhi.admissionobjections@gmail.com with the subject "Objection filling/Admission Number/Name of Candidate.”

Ques. Are there any other Government ITIs in Delhi apart from the ones taking part in the DTTE ITI admission?

Ans. No, all 19 government ITIs participate in the DTTE ITI admission process. However, there are three private ITIs that are managed by government departments. These are:

  • CRPF Private ITI, Wazirabad
  • NDMC Private Women ITI, Netaji Nagar
  • NSIC Tech Services Center Private ITI, Okhla

Ques. What are the duration of ITI courses in Delhi?

Ans. Various ITI courses have various duration and NSQF levels. While some courses are only 12 months in duration, others are as many as 24 months long.
