Maharashtra ITI Admission 2023 is conducted by the Directorate of Vocational Education & Training, Maharashtra (DVETM). Maharashtra ITI Admission 2023 usually begins in the month of June 2023. Maharashtra ITI Admission is done solely on the basis of merit.

Candidates need to pass class 10 and class 12 exams from a recognized board to be eligible for ITI admission in Maharashtra. The admission is on the basis of merit secured in Mathematics, English, Physics, and Chemistry in classes 10 and 12.

The institutes offer training in various trades such as cosmetology, carpenter, computer operator, programming assistant, draughtsman civil, electrician, plumbing, etc. Each course has a varied duration. The admission process involves the following steps: registration, online verification, choice filling, rank generation, objection filing, and counseling.

Maharashtra ITI Admission 2023: Eligibility

There is a basic eligibility criterion that all candidates should meet and then there are also different criteria for different courses.

  • The candidate must have passed the class 10 and class 12 exams from a recognized board.
  • The candidate must have completed 14 years as on December 31, 2022.
  • There is no upper age limit for admission.

Maharashtra ITI Admission 2023: Application Form

  • Interested candidates are advised to visit the official website of the ITI for the application form.
  • On the home page, click on “Candidate login” and select “New Candidate registration”
  • Fill in the 10th board or equivalent exam details and personal details including Name, address, phone number, email id, and password. This will register the respective candidate. Each candidate will receive a unique registration number
  • After registration, log in with the registration number and password to complete the next step of the application form.
  • Fill in the 10th board details, personal details, address, and other details as mentioned.
  • Fill in the category reservation details, if one belongs to the reserved category and has a certificate to support the same.
  • Submit the application form
  • Pay the application fee

Maharashtra ITI Admission 2023: Result and Counselling

  • The list of selected candidates and the college allocated to them will be announced on the ITI website. The candidate can log in to his account to check the list.
  • The candidates will be selected on the basis of merit.
  • Preference will be given to candidates belonging to the state of Maharashtra with a Domicile certificate.
  • After the merit list is announced the candidate can check the result and the venue allocated to him for the counseling process.
  • In the counseling process, the students have to bring a set of original documents for the process of Document verification

Maharashtra ITI Admission 2023: Reservation

  • 70% of the seats are reserved for students belonging to the state of Maharashtra who have a domicile certificate.
  • 30% of the seats are for students out of the state of Maharashtra.
  • 30% of seats are reserved for female candidates. This also includes a reservation for SC/ST/NT/OBC category candidates.
  • 1% reservation for PWD candidates.
  • 1% reservation for orphan children.

Ans. The merit list is prepared on the basis of the order of marks obtained by students in the 10th/12th board exam. Preference will be given to candidates belonging to Maharashtra and those belonging to the reserved categories (SC/ST/PwD).
