Himachal Pradesh Polytechnic Admission 2023 is based on HP PAT. HP Polytechnic Admission Test (HP PAT) dates have been announced. Himachal Pradesh is a state with various Polytechnic institutes offering good quality education to students in the technical field. HP Polytechnic Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria
The candidates seeking admission to polytechnic course must fulfill the eligibility criteria as mentioned below:
- Candidates should be citizens of India.
- Candidates should have a domicile certificate of HP for reservation.
- Candidates must have passed class 10 with at least 35% marks from a recognized board.
- Candidates must have passed important subjects like English, Mathematics, and Science in their qualifying exam.
- Candidates who are waiting for their results or are about to give the 10th-class exams are also eligible to apply.
- However, the admission will only be confirmed after the counseling process.

To apply for HP PAT Admissions, the candidates must follow the following steps:
- Visit the official website of HP Takniki Shiksha Board.
- Then, click on online admissions 2023.
- Follow the page and click on the Polytechnic PAT Admissions option available.
- After that click on new registrations and register yourself by entering the necessary details.
- Now, login using your credentials created.
- Fill the application form carefully with all the mandatory details like name, educational qualifications, contact number, address etc.
- Now, in the next option upload your passport-size photograph and signature.
- Then, make the payment of the application form using a debit card, credit card or net banking.
- Save the form and take a printout of the same for future reference.
- The application fee for the general category students is INR 650.

HP Polytechnic Admission 2023: Exam Pattern
The HP PAT entrance exam is conducted in an offline mode. There are a total of 150 questions from 4 subjects. The subjects are Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and English. The exam is of objective nature and has multiple-choice questions. The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
For every correct answer, 4 marks are awarded to the candidates. There is also negative marking in the exam as for every wrong answer given 1 mark is deducted. There is no provision available for re-evaluation of the answer sheet in this exam.

HP Polytechnic Admission 2023: Admit Card
The admit cards are released on the official website only. The candidates can log in using the credential they had created and download their admit cards and take a printout of the same.
HP Polytechnic Admission 2023: Results
After the exam is held, the candidates will be given admission on the basis of the merit list prepared by the authorities on the basis of qualifying exams. The candidates of HP will be given preference and in any scenario, if two students have the same marks, the candidate with upper age will be considered for HP Polytechnic admission.
HP Polytechnic Admission 2023: Counselling
The HP PAT admissions counseling is being conducted in an online medium. The students who qualified for the merit list are considered for counseling. The counseling is conducted in various rounds and for vacant seats too. After the counseling, the candidate is required to report to the allotted institute for document verification and fee payment else the admission will be dismissed.
HP Polytechnic Admission 2023: Reservations
The candidates from reserved categories are provided with the benefit of reservation as per the government's policy. Candidates from Himachal Pradesh are also given reservations under the state quota.
The category mentioned while filling out the application form will be taken into consideration. No changes will be entertained in case of wrong information is given and the candidate will have to provide the necessary certificates for reservation. Any failure would result in no reservation for the candidate.
