HP BTech Admission 2023 will be done based on an entrance exam. HP BTech Admission will be conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU). HPTU has released the dates for HPCET 2023 to offer admission to the BTech course in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The HPCET 2023 will be conducted on May 14, 2023, and the registration process will be done from March 2023.
Apart from HPCET, HP BTech admission can also be done based on national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main 2023 and JEE Advanced. NTA will conduct the JEE Main exam in two phases in the month. HP BTech Admission to the IITs and NITs is granted based on the scores obtained by a candidate in the JEE Main/JEE Advanced. Registration for JEE Main was open till January 12, 2023, and the exam will be conducted from January 25 to 31, 2023. JEE Advanced 2023 will be conducted by the 7 IITs on June 04, 2023. Registration for JEE Advanced will be open from April 30 to May 04, 2023.
BTech is a 4-year long undergraduate engineering degree that is divided into 8 semesters. Candidates must have passed the 12th standard with a minimum of 50% marks to be eligible. The gateway to this undergraduate degree is through entrance exams HPCET or JEE. HPCET is a state-level exam conducted by Himachal Pradesh Technical University for BTech Admission 2023. A merit list will be prepared for the qualified candidates based on their performance in the entrance test.
