Maharashtra Polytechnic Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria
The candidates who wish to apply for Polytechnic courses from Maharashtra should fulfill the following eligibility criteria enlisted by the admission conducting body.
- Basic eligibility is the candidates with Maharashtra Domicile and belonging to SC/ST/OBC or any other minority community (Minority quota seats) and those who hold Indian Nationality.

Maharashtra Polytechnic Admissions Process 2023
The candidate can apply for the Polytechnic course in the state of Maharashtra only in the online mode. The steps towards admission are given below.
- Visit the official website.
- Register with a valid email ID and password.
- Fill in the required details that are asked in the application form.
- Upload the documents asked to submit.
- Pay the application fee through supported online methods. The application fee for the General category candidates and the candidates belonging to other states is INR 400. While the application fee for the reserved category candidates from Maharashtra is INR 300.

Maharashtra Polytechnic Admissions 2023: Merit List
Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) issues a merit list for admission to Polytechnic. The candidates eligible for the counseling process are shortlisted in the merit list. The merit list for admission to Maharashtra Polytechnic is based on the following factors:
- Initially, in the Merit number Assignment stage, the merit number is assigned based on the eligibility of the applied candidates with the help of data filled.
- Change of marks takes place due to the verification stage.
- If more than one candidate scores the same marks, then the candidate with higher marks in Mathematics is preferred.
- Even if the candidates score the same marks in Mathematics, then the candidate with a higher score in Science is preferred.
- If the scores are still the same, then the candidate with a higher English score is preferred.
- If the same marks are reported between them, then the candidate with a score in HSC is preferred.
- If still, the tie does not break, then the candidate passed with Minimum Competency Vocational Course in HSC is preferred.
Maharashtra Polytechnic Admission 2023: Counselling
Post the release of the Merit List for admission to Polytechnic the shortlisted, candidates are called for the counseling process. The counseling is conducted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The counseling process is carried on in various rounds. The qualified candidates have to fill in the counseling form and then choose their preferences through the official website.
- Three rounds of counseling are conducted for admission to the Maharashtra Polytechnic.
- The candidates who could not attend round I counseling can sit for the forthcoming round of counseling.
