Kerala Polytechnic Admission 2023: Seat Allotment Process
The candidates whose names are enlisted in the merit list will be called for the Seat allotment process. The Centralised Allotment Process will be done through the Single Window System (SWS) to give allotment to various programs in the Polytechnic colleges based on the options/ re-options chosen by the candidates.
- Candidates can exercise options to a maximum number of 30 of their choice (program and institution combination).
- There will be three allotment processes. The allotment lists will be published on the admission websites. If there are vacancies left after the three allotments, Spot admissions may be conducted to fill up the remaining seats.
- The candidate who wishes to join the allotted option should report to the allotted Polytechnic College with an allotment letter and pay the required fee.
- The candidate should submit the documents at the institution and receive the admission slip and receipt for the documents.
- If a candidate does not join in the allotted option in the final allotment round within the stipulated time, that allotment will get canceled.
Categorization of Seats
The various categories of diploma seats getting filled in Kerala are mentioned below.
- Merit Seats: These seats get allotted through the State Institute of Technical Teachers Training & Research (SITTTR). These seats will be available in all the Government/ Government Aided and Private Self-financing Polytechnic Colleges.
- Management Seats in Aided Polytechnic Colleges: The seats that are filled up by the concerned management personnel in the aided institutions. 15% of the total intake is reserved under this category. The selection process is subjected to approval by the Regional Joint Director or the Deputy Director of the respective region.
- Management Seats in Private Self-Financing Polytechnic Colleges: The seats that are set apart in the Self-Financing Programmes to be filled up by the management of the institution. 50% of the sanctioned intake of each Programme is set apart under this category.
