Uttar Pradesh (UP) Polytechnic Admission is done based on a state-level entrance exam. UP Polytechnic Admission is conducted by the Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh on the basis of the JEECUP 2023. The conducting authorities have released the UP Polytechnic Admission Test JEECUP dates on the official website. JEECUP 2023 exam dates have been released on the official website. The exam will be conducted from June 01 to 06, 2023. The examination will only be conducted for Groups A, E1, E2, B, C, D, F, G, H, I, K1- K8, and Group L.
The UP Polytechnic registration process will begin in 1st week of April 2023. Candidates willing to appear for JEECUP 2023 must have passed the 10th or equivalent examination from any recognized board and must hold a domicile of UP.

UP Polytechnic Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must go through the eligibility criteria put up by the Uttar Pradesh Board of technical education (UPBTE) for the UPJEE exam. The detailed eligibility criteria are listed below.
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- The candidate must have passed the secondary examination or equivalent examination from an institute/ board recognized by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
- The candidate must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh or staying in Uttar Pradesh for not less than 10 years prior to the filing of the application. Exceptions can be made if the candidates are wards of ex-servicemen or defense personnel.
- The candidate must fulfill an aggregate of 35% excluding additional subjects and according to the AICTE norms. No rounding of marks shall be considered.
- Candidates must secure passing marks in the compulsory subjects.
- Candidates who are sitting for their final examination are also eligible to apply.
- For lateral entry to engineering, candidates need to have completed 10th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The student must have completed 10+2 with the required aggregate and have pursued and passed an ITI degree/vocational degree in the relevant field for two years.
- The candidate should have Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics as compulsory subjects with any combination of other optional subjects to be eligible to apply for a Diploma in Engineering.
- The candidate should have Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, and Physics as compulsory subjects with any combination of other optional subjects to be eligible to apply for a Diploma in Pharmacy.
- The candidate should have a qualified B. Sc in Biotechnology/ Biology/ Biochemistry to be eligible for a PG Diploma in Biotechnology.
- The candidate should have qualified for a Bachelor’s degree to be eligible for a Post Graduate Diploma.

UP Polytechnic Registration Process
- Fill in the registration form online
- Upload all the necessary documents in the prescribed format
- Pay the application fee and take a printout
- There is no option of offline registration available to candidates. The entire process of registration for UP Polytechnic Admission is online.

- Create an account to obtain the unique enrollment ID and password.
- Fill in the required information such as academic qualification, name, and address accurately.

- Pay the application fee. Students from the general/ OBC category need to pay INR 300 and students from the other reserved categories are required to pay INR 200.

- The examination comprises 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) of 400 marks. The time allotted for the UPJEE is three hours.
- Each correct answer is awarded 4 marks.
- 0.25 marks is deducted for each wrong answer.
- The medium of the examination is English/Hindi.

UP Polytechnic Admission 2023: Result
After the examination is conducted, the examination board will release the provisional merit list based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the exam.
- The merit list will be available on the official website. Candidates who are shortlisted will be called for subsequent counseling.
- Candidates shall be offered admission based on their choices, reservation, and State Open Rank of UPJEE through a Seat Allocation Process to be announced later.
- The candidates will be able to make their choices online for branches and institutes at the appropriate time.
UP Polytechnic Admission 2023: Counselling Process
Only registered candidates will be eligible for the counseling process. The counseling process for UP Polytechnic Admission 2023 will begin in June 2023.

Ans. Candidates wishing to apply for lateral entry need to apply for the category K during the application process and select a subcategory that has the relevant field they want to appear for. Ans. The examination is held in the month of April. The registrations for JEECUP 2023 will begin in February and go on till March.
