Tamil Nadu BTech Admission is done on the basis of an entrance exam. Candidates must qualify for state-level TNEA counseling on the basis of the JEE Main scores. Tamil Nadu BTech Admission is organized by Anna University. 

TNEA is conducted for admission in government colleges, government-aided colleges, and self-financing colleges in the state. Candidates must appear for the JEE Main 2023 to seek Tamil Nadu BTech Admission 2023. Deemed Universities also conduct university-level entrance exams such as VITEEE, VTUEEE, SRMJEE, etc to offer Tamil Nadu BTech Admission 2023.

TNEA registrations will tentatively begin in the month of June 2023. The rank list for Tamil Nadu BTech Admission will be released in August 2023 followed by a counseling session. JEE Main is conducted in two sessions. JEE Main Phase I results were declared on February 07, 2023, and the registrations for Session II are open from February 14 to March 12, 2023.

Tamil Nadu BTech Admission 2023: Eligibility

  • Candidates should have passed 12th from a recognized University to be eligible
  • Candidates require a minimum of 50% marks with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as core subjects.
  • Relaxation of marks will be given to the reservation category (45% for OBC and 40% for the reserved category).

Tamil Nadu BTech Admission Process 2023

The application process involves the following steps:

  • Visit the Admission portal of the University.
  • Once the registration process is complete, you will receive the login number
  • Fill in the application form with relevant information like personal and academic details.
  • Remit the application fees (INR 500 for the general category, INR 250 for SC/ST, and INR 100 for the reservation category)
  • Take a printout and mail it to the address: The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions, Anna University, Chennai – 600025. Attach documents like Mark sheets of 10 and 12th, Transfer certificates, reservation certificates, etc.

The steps involved in the counseling process are:

  • Fill in the registration form and a random number will be generated.
  • All the uploaded documents will be verified
  • The rank list will be published
  • The counseling process begins
  • Students are expected to remit the fees
  • Finally, students will report to allotted institutes at the predetermined date.
