Why MAT FOR MBA Admission?
These are some reasons for why you should choose MAT as the entrance exam for your MBA course.
Top B-school accept MAT score
Universal acceptance, you read that right. The biggest advantage of taking up the MAT MBA entrance test has to be that nearly all international schools accept MAT scores. As the MAT exam score is accepted by more than 600 MBA colleges in India, it is one of the largest MBA entrance tests in the country. No other MBA entrance exam is as widely accepted as MAT. In addition to this, the MAT exam score is also accepted by different types of B-schools, thereby enabling one to target varied specializations.
Easier compared to other MBA entrance tests
Compared to other major MBA entrance tests like CAT, IIFT and NMAT; the difficulty level of the MAT exam is less. Most of these sections that make up the syllabus are already covered in the syllabus of other MBA entrance tests and therefore MAT exam doesn’t require any separate preparation on part of the aspirant. The simpler nature and extensive syllabus of MAT make it comparatively easier for aspirants to crack.
Payment of Fees
A lot of candidates are not comfortable with making online payments, and most entrance tests require them to pay the application fees online, through the integrated payment gateway. MAT offers convenience to candidates through three payment modes: online (debit/credit cards and net banking), offline (demand draft in favor of AIMA-CMS, payable at New Delhi), cash payment for the physical collection of the Application Form from the AIMA office.
MAT Exam is conducted Four times a year
Most MBA entrance tests like CAT, IIFT, SNAP and XAT, among others are conducted only once a year. This means that an aspirant, who has not done well has to wait an entire year in order to take up the test again. However, MAT is the only MBA entrance test that is conducted four times in a year. This gives candidates multiple chances to improve their scores and retry for MBA admission within the same calendar year without wasting an entire year.
Free application to any 5 MBA colleges in India
A benefit of taking the MAT entrance test for MBA admissions is that it allows candidates to apply to any five B schools, which accept MAT scores without any additional fee. Generally, application to MBA colleges is chargeable. This is not the case with the MAT entrance test, as candidates appearing for the exam can apply to their dream college/s directly through the MAT exam form itself.
