CAT: Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree from any stream with a minimum aggregate of 50% or equivalent CGPA.
- For reserved categories, a relaxation of 5% is offered.

CAT Exam Pattern
The exam pattern for CAT remains the same on a larger scale, however, some minute changes during the COVID pandemic were made. It is advised to check the complete exam pattern before starting preparation for CAT.

CAT Registration
The registration process for CAT will start in August. The following points should be clear before registering for CAT.
- The last date for registering for the CAT exam will be September.
- The registration fee for general candidates will be INR 2000 and INR 1000 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
- Candidates should be ready with important documents such as passport size photograph, scanned signature, and category certificate.
- A maximum of 4 exam centers can be chosen by the candidates for giving their examination.
- It is necessary to choose the college and the course students want to apply for beforehand, at the time of registration.

- The CAT results are released in January on the official website.
- The results are valid for a year and based on the answer key, the result is prepared, which is accepted by IIMs and other top business schools in India.
- IIMs prepare their CAT cutoff on their websites, and if the candidate has a cutoff score equal to that on the website, they are called for the written ability test, group discussion round, and personal interview.
- During CAT Counselling candidates are selected based on their CAT Results, academic background, and work experience.
- Selected candidates will have to appear for WAT/GD-PI.
CAT Cutoff
- The CAT participating institutes will release their cut-off after the declaration of the result and the MBA Colleges which accept CAT scores will shortlist the candidates as per their prescribed cutoff criterion.
