To apply for the Bihar ITI Exam the candidates should have the following eligibility criteria:
- Age limit - The candidates should be above 14 years of age (above 17 for the Mechanic Tractor and Motor Vehicle) by August 01, 2023. There is no maximum age limit.
- Domicile - The candidates whose parents are permanent residents of Bihar or are employees of the Bihar Government or central government are eligible.
- Qualifications - They should have completed class 10th from a recognized board with mathematics and science subjects. The candidate who is appearing for the class 10th exam is also eligible.

- They will have to register themselves and generate a login ID and password.
- Then they can start filling out the online application with personal and academic details.
- They will have to upload the scanned photograph and signature in the desired size and format.
- The duly filled form can be submitted along with the application fees.
- After successful submission, the candidates can take the printout of the application form and the payment receipt and send it to the BCECE board.

The ITICAT is an exam of 2.15 hours. The question paper is of 300 marks and consists of 150 objective-type questions. The question paper consists of 3 sections: Mathematics, General Science, and General Knowledge. There is no negative marking and each correct answer provides 2 marks.
