Delhi University was set up in 1922 and has been offering several undergraduate and post graduate courses. It is the foremost and reputed central university in the country. There are 77 colleges under it. Faculty of Arts conducts admission for B.A (Hons.) courses

Delhi University B.A (Hons.) Admission form

Candidates can apply online for these courses. Online registration will start from May 28, 2015. Application forms will be issued from registration centers from June 5, 2015 onwards. Last date of filling application form is June 15, 2015. They can apply for more than one course by single application form.

Registration fee is INR 100 for general category students and INR 50 for SC/ST.

Students need to fill separate application form for St. Stephens College and Jesus and Mary College. For both colleges, registration is online only at their respective website. St. Stephens College considers class 12th marks (85%), aptitude test and interview (10%) for admission. Jesus and Mary College considers only class 12th marks.

Delhi University B.A. (Hons.) Eligibility Criteria

Following is the eligibility criteria need to be fulfilled by students:-

  • Students must have secured at least 40% marks in 12th examination or any other exam from a recognized board. There is no minimum age requirement.
  • For B.A. (Hons.) Arabic, Hindi, Persian, Punjabi, Urdu, Sanskrit, Bengali- An aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying examination. Candidates securing 40% marks in the aggregate and 50% marks in the subject concerned are also eligible for admission to the relevant Honours Course.

There will not be separate cut off list for reserved category candidates. There is a reservation of 27% of seats for OBC students and 22.5% for SC/ST students.

  • Class X Board Examination Certificate
  • Class X Marks-Sheet
  • Class XII Marks-Sheet
  • Class XII Provisional Certificate / Original Certificate
  • Character Certificate (recent)
  • SC/ST Certificate (in the name of the candidate) issued by the competent authority
  • OBC (Non- Creamy Layer) Certificate (in the name of the Candidate) issued by competent authority
  • Transfer Certificate from school / college as well as Migration Certificate from Board /University are required from those students who have passed senior secondary exam from outside Delhi
  • At least two passport size self-attested photographs.
