Annamalai University is a unitary and residential university located in Tamil Nadu offering a variety of under-graduate and post-graduate courses. It was established in 1929. University is authorized by Government of Tamil Nadu and also provides distance education courses. It has 49 departments of study.
Faculty of dentistry conducts admission for BDS programme run by university. Duration of course is 5 years including internship. Last date of application is June 22, 2015.
Annamalai University BDS Eligibility Criteria
Following are the eligibility requirements need to be fulfilled by candidates:-
- They should be citizen of India
- Those who have studied from VIII to XII in Tamil Nadu are eligibility and need not produce Nativity Certificate
- Students who have studied above mentioned classes partly or wholly from schools outside the state are also eligible provide they produce Nativity Certificate
- Minimum age requirement is 17 years by December 31, 2015.
- They should have cleared class 12th exam conducted by Tamil Nadu State Board or any other equivalent board with main subjects as physics, chemistry and biology
- Minimum percentage required is 50% in qualifying exam. For SC/ST students it is 40%
18% of seats are reserved for SC students and 1% for ST candidates. For differently able persons, reserved quota is 3%.
Annamalai University BDS Application Process
Registration starts from May 10, 2015. Last date of application is June 22, 2015. Candidates can apply either online or offline. Registration fee is INR 1500 if paid by cash and INR 1550 if it is done by demand draft.

- Students can get the application form from the administrative office of the Annamalai University or its study centers by making cash payment
- It can also be obtained by post by sending request letter along with demand draft of INR 1550 in favor of 'The Registrar, Annamalai University', payable at Chennai.
