Annamalai University is one of the largest public residential universities in country offering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in engineering, medical, commerce, agriculture etc. It was established in 1929. University also provides distance education courses through Directorate of Distance Education through Annamalai University.
Application forms will be issued from May 26, 2015. It can be submitted till June 17, 2015.

Annamalai University BE Part Time Eligibility Criteria
Following is the eligibility criteria course wise need to be fulfilled by students:-
Civil and Structural Engineering
- Candidates should have passed in Diploma course of Civil/Civil and Structural Engineering conducted by State Board of Technical Education of Tamil Nadu.
- Those who have passed any other equivalent exam with two years of professional experience after diploma exam can also apply
Mechanical Engineering
- Students must have done Diploma course of Mechanical Engineering conducted by State Board of Technical Education of Tamil Nadu.
- Those who have passed any other equivalent exam with two years of professional experience after diploma exam are also eligible
Electricals and Electronics Engineering
- Students should have cleared Diploma course of Electrical and Electronics Engineering conducted by State Board of Technical Education of Tamil Nadu.
- Those who have passed any other equivalent exam with two years of professional experience after diploma exam can are also eligible
Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
- Aspirants should have completed Diploma course of Electrical and Electronics / Electronics and Instrumentation / Electronics and Communication / Computer Science and Engineering / Instrumentation and Control / Electronics Engineering / Information Technology conducted by State Board of Technical Education of Tamil Nadu.
- Those who have passed any other equivalent exam with two years of professional experience after diploma exam are also eligible
Chemical Engineering
- Students should have cleared Diploma course of Chemical Engineering conducted by State Board of Technical Education of Tamil Nadu.
- Those who have passed any other equivalent exam with two years of professional experience after diploma exam can apply
- Candidates who have done B.Sc. from university or any other university recognized by the Syndicate of the Annamalai University as equivalent there to with main subject as chemistry are also eligible. They should also have four years of experience in chemical or allied industries.
Annamalai University BE Part Time Application Process
Registration starts from May 26, 2015. Last date of filling application form is June 17, 2015. Application form fee is INR 600.
- Candidates can obtain application form from University office and its study centers. It needs to be submitted at The Registrar, Annamalai University, Annamalainagar — 608 002, Tamil Nadu by designation and not by name along with attested photocopies of following documents:-
- Mark list/Grade Certificates of the qualifying examination
- Provisional/Degree Certificate of the qualifying examination
- Community Certificate for BC/BCM/MBC/DNC/SC/SCA/ST
- Proof of Date of Birth
- Transfer and Conduct/Migration Certificate
- Certificate of extracurricular activities
