Tamil Nadu Open University was established in 2002 to serve as an open and distance learning centre. It is approved by Centre of Open Learning (COL), University Grants Commission (UGC), and International Council for Open & Distance Education (ICDE) and also Open Distance Learning (ODL).
The applications forms for all the programmes of the Calendar year should be submitted before April 30, 2015 and for the Academic year should be submitted before October 31, 2015. The application fee payable for all modes except DD is INR 100 and for DD it is INR 150

Tamil Nadu Open University B.A Eligibility:
The candidates should have the following eligibility Criteria to take admission:
- 10+2 or equivalent with English/ Urdu/ Tamil/ History/ Economics/ Public Administration/ Social work/ Business Economics/ Political/ Sociology/ Criminology as one of the main subject
- Candidates with non 10+2 must have cleared equivalent exam from open
- The candidate should be minimum 18 years old at the time of admission

The Application Forms can be obtained from the following modes:
- In person: the candidates can get applications from University Sales Counter, Study Centres/ University Coordinating Centres on payment of INR 100 in cash
- By Post: the candidate can request for application by sending DD of INR 150 drawn by nationalized or Scheduled bank in favor of "Tamil Nadu Open University" to be payable at Chennai on the following address:

Submitting Application: The applications must be submitted alongwith with University copy of Challan at the study centres approved by university or Admission wing of the University in Chennai In person or by post.
