GATE 2021 Registration has already started ahead of the schedule. IIT Bombay, the institute in charge of conducting the exam in 2021 has released the GATE application forms online.
Earlier GATE 2021 registrations were supposed to begin from September 14, however, IIT Bombay opened the GOAPS (GATE Online Application Processing System) Application today.
Students can visit the official website @appsgate.iitb.ac.in and can fill the application form online only. The registrations will be open from September 11 to 30.
IIT Bombay has also announced some relaxation in the GATE 2021 eligibility along with the addition of two new subjects. Candidates will be allowed to sit for a maximum of 2 papers this year. Read More.
How to Apply for GATE 2021?
To be able to complete their GATE 2021 registration, students must follow the given steps:
- Visit GATE 2021 official website
- Provide the required details, login and complete the application form
- Upload the required documents and pay the GATE registration fee
- Submit the GATE 2021 application form

Documents Required GATE 2021 Registration
Candidates are required to upload the following documents while completing the GATE 2021 registrations:
- Recent passport size photograph
- Scanned copy of signature
- Certificate of qualifying degree
- Scanned copy of eligibility certificate (PDF format)
- Category certificate (for SC/ST/PwD candidates)
- Valid ID proof (Aadhaar card/ Driving License/ Passport/Voter ID Card, etc.

GATE 2021 Exams will be conducted in two schedules, morning schedule from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon while the afternoon schedule from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

GATE 2021 is conducted every year for admissions to M.E./M.Tech/Ph.D. at the IITs, NITS, IIITs and CFTIs and also for recruitment in Public Service Undertakings (PSUs). It must be noted that the GATE scores will be valid for three years from the date of the announcement of GATE 2021 Results.
