GATE 2022 Exam Day Guidelines Released by IIT Kharagpur, Check Do's and Don'ts Here

New Delhi: IIT Kharagpur has recently released the GATE 2022 exam day guidelines and COVID-19 safety protocols for registered candidates on its official website, gate.iitkgp.ac.in. 

Students who are now preparing to appear for GATE 2022 are directed to read the guidelines released by the exam conducting authority, IIT Kharagpur to ensure smooth commencement of the exam. 

Additionally, candidates are requested to download their GATE 2022 admit card at least a week before exam commencement. The admit card was released on the IIT Kharagpur website at gate.iitkgp.ac.in on January 15, 2022.

GATE 2022: Important Exam Day Instructions

As per the latest GATE 2022 exam instructions released, candidates are required to follow the below-mentioned guidelines throughout the exam commencement: 

• Download the GATE 2022 Admit Card at least a week before exam commencement. 
• Take a clear printout of the IIT GOAPS 2022 Hall Ticket on an A4 size sheet using a laser printer.
• Ensure that the signature and photograph of the candidate are clearly visible on the admit card. 
• Carry your GATE 2022 Admit card and a photo identification document such as passport, pan card, Aadhar card for the identity verification process at the exam center. 
• Reach the GATE 2022 Exam Center at least 30 minutes before the exam.
• Carry your own stationery, such as pen, pencil, water bottle, and pocket-size sanitizer during the exam. 
• Exchange of any materials during the exam is prohibited. 
• Students are directed to avoid any malpractice during the exam. 
• Candidates must note that not following the exam instructions released by IITK can result in exam cancellation.

GATE 2022: Covid-19 Guidelines and Safety Precautions 

In view of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic in the country, the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur has released strict safety guidelines and precautions for students. Those who have registered for the exam are required to follow the below Covid-19 guidelines: 

• Wear a proper face mask throughout the GATE 2022 exam commencement. Entry inside the exam center will not be permitted without a face mask. 
• A mandatory health check-up of candidates will be done at the GATE Exam Center. Students are directed to follow the COVID-related protocols released by the Government of India.
• The entry for Covid-19 positive candidates who have any contagious or infectious disease will be denied. 
• Candidates with a fever higher than 99.4 degrees or any Covid-19 related symptoms such as cough, runny nose will be taken into an isolation area of the exam. 
• Candidates who have any COVID symptoms or were in quarantine or in close contact with any COVID patient are directed to contact the exam authority for further guidance. 
• Exams for students with Covid-19 symptoms will be done as per the SOPs and Safety Guidelines released by the Central Government. 

As per the GATE 2022 Schedule, the examination will be held on February 5, 6, and February 12-13, 2022 in various exam centers across the country. The answer key for the same will be made available for candidates to check in the first week of March 2022.
