New Delhi: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has published the academic catalog for the academic year 2023-24. The University has also announced that it will be launching two four-year UG courses, including BA in English and BA in Liberal Arts with Major History, Sociology and Political science. The online portal to apply for these programs will remain active till April 30, 2023.
As per GGSIPU, the BA in English program will be offered by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. The BA in Liberal Arts program will be offered by the school of liberal arts.
According to TOI, Vice-Chancellor Professor Mahesh Verma stated, "Aside from these programmes, the university is going to introduce M.Sc bioinformatics, PG diploma in cyber security, cyber disaster, and blockchain technology, as well as two different MD homeopathy and ayurveda programmes, among other courses, in the new academic year”.
It must be noted that the university previously declared that the CUET entrance exam will become the basis for admission to its 13 PG and 17 UG courses. Nonetheless, it was made clear at the brochure release that the CUET scores would only get secondary consideration.
"The university will administer its own entrance exams, and admissions will be based on the results. CUET scores will receive second preference for these programs. If there are seats available at a later phase of the admission cycle, this will be taken into consideration”, Officials explained.
